Taltos Spots Whitney Frost in Season 1 (from Marvel podcast):
I definitely thought of Hedy Lamar when they revealed the whole actress/scientist thing with Whitney Frost. Hedy designed the system for rotating frequencies to prevent missiles from getting jammed during WWII; she was so ahead of her time in design and the technology was there that it took 60 years for them to be able to use her system in combat. Hedy wasn’t evil of course so that part is strictly Whitney, but the inventor/actor part was similar and when they mentioned the whole frequency things my mind instantly went to Hedy Lamar. So glad this fact was mentioned Mike!
I love “Captain America”‘s/”Agent Carter”‘s version of Howard Stark. Peggy and Howard are so much fun to watch together; the scene by the pool looks like the clip from YouTube from which Hayley posted the video of her kicking Dominic (Howard) into the pool. I’m still hoping Jack ends up being one of the good guys. Points to Dave for mentioning Monica Reyes!
It was neat seeing Peggy have to deal with paparazzi. “I’m going to go poke the bear.” – Peggy’s specialty. The Peggy working out/fight scene was awesome. I definitely enjoyed this episode more than the opening.
Huh, awesome tidbit from Taltos about the season one connection with Whitney.
