In this inaugural episode of the Portable Orchard Podcast, we recap the good and bad from CES 2012, discuss the new Amazon iPad website, review Zite and discuss what we hope to see from Apple in 2012.
The new Amazon iPad website can be found here. It is only usable on the iPad at this time and gives the user a very iPad app-like experience.
Zite is a news aggregation app that takes input from the user and gets smarter the more you use it. The more you interact with it, the more it is able to taylor the info it shows to match your interests.
Send in your feedback and suggestions for apps you’d like us to review at 304-837-2278 or feedback@goldenspiralmedia.com.
You two are awesome! “Monogamous” podcasters, LOL!
I really enjoyed the information this episode provided. I was wondering about
Zite, so I’m particularly pleased that you reviewed it. Can’t wait to hear more.
I already know I am going to love this podcast! I downloaded Zite after hearing you talk about it and really enjoy it. I’d like to see you guys do a blast-from-the-past episode! I’ve still got a junker laptop, a PowerBook G4, running Jaguar (and runs the Classic 9.2…AirPort cards, anyone?). Absolutely no memory to the thing, and I really only use it for light coding with an ancient ColdFusion version, but it was a sweet machine back in its day. And yeah, I’m even old enough to remember using Macintosh Classic back in junior high. I’m pretty sure I had to play Number Munchers on those during summer school. There is so much classic stuff I miss, but of course the new stuff has me geeking out on an hourly basis. Best of luck!
