In the episode “Synecdoche”, our heroes get out of their comfort zone in New York City, and are tasked with protecting the President. But, why are those who protect the irrelevant numbers assigned to one of the most relevant terrorist targets in the world? And can the Machine adequately protect the team in Washington, DC?
Shaw is still not entirely sure she’s not in a simulation still. Perhaps this might convince her that this is reality.
And what of Harold Finch? Where’s he off to, and what does his choice of bird for his alias this time perhaps say about what’s going on inside his head?

What I really said was.

Just a sidenote for you Gents,
My Significant(ly better)Other just finished listening to the marathon podcast and had a few comments:
1) MOST marathons are won in shorter times than this podcast – not a critique, just an observation.
2) The Voice Feedback with the family friendly acronym OMFG is also known as Oh My Friendly/Forgiving God, in the circles we run in.
3) Theory. The finale shows that “The Machine” has won the ultimate AI battle, then in the last 20 seconds, “Samaritan” kicks-it-up-a-notch and chimes-in and wins with a ‘voice of its own’ – Samaritan takes the day, and the series, when it declares the victory and signs-off with the vocal recognition pattterns of “Judgey Judy. The Polish Blonde From Worchester (Wustuh) Mass.
I don’t write ’em folks! I just repeat ’em! – – DocH
Spoiler Alert!
The one factor that will be re-addressed is the affair in Hong Kong where Finch slips a viral cynadide capsule into Samaritan’s mouth when he had his flirty-girlie-friend’s PC stolen, and then returned, just before Greer wielded the corporate takeover that gets the intellectual rights to her company (& PC). Harold squeezes that trigger in another week, or so.
(At least that is what they showed us in the ‘test audience’ viewing three-and-a-half weeks ago in Burbank)
The benefits of living in California? 🙂 Yes, that is one more loose end in need of tying up.
