“Tremors” brings us a lot of relationships that have very shaky foundations get shaken – not stirred – up to find out what’s really at the heart of the matter. We had everything from shrieking hysteria to submission and forgiveness. If you weren’t emotionally ready, this episode might have earthquaked you right off of your couch!
Lena Shoots, She Scores!!!!!!
The uber creepy Leviathan lady, that we find out is “Margot,” arrives in Lena’s penthouse to collect the medallion that was so hotly contested in last week’s episode. Lena has a force field, duhhhhhhh, and so Margot retreats. Hope is there, duhhhhhhhhh, and inquires of Lena why she continues to provoke Leviathan over something that has no inherit value anymore. Lena replies that not only does it have sentimental value it will work toward her plan to find what she needs to put Project Non Nocere (Do No Harm) into place. She will keep putting herself in danger and Supergirl will save her! At a ceremony in a local park, sure enough, Rama Kahn introduces himself in broad daylight and demands the medallion. Lena activates her Supergirl call-signal watch and leaps off the cliffs. Supergirl grabs her in the nick of time and heat visions Rama Kahn into retreat. Later at the DEO Brainy puts together that Rama Kahn is an ancient alien that has enormous power to inflict world destroying events. The team needs someone who’s fought powerful aliens and has the right tech to do it – which is really funny because that’s exactly what Lena needs to. Huh! This sounds like a job for Lex Luthor! Lena knows that Lex’s toys are all at Fort Summit but his big time stuff was destroyed for sure. I mean, right?! Supergirl pipes in that no, actually, Lex’s stuff along with everything that can hurt the Super-Cuzzes are held at the Fortress of Solitude. Lena offers to make a shopping list but Supergirl just invites her to come with! Girl time!!! Lena is awestruck at the Fortress and is dumbstruck at the quantum processor that runs the whole thing – except hold on the awe and dumb. After the “L-protocol” nearly starts trying to take Lena out she turns around and manipulates the processor to do what she wants. The two start Kryptonian Assault Weapon Amazon shopping through the inventory and come across a tiny gun that Lex keeps under his wigs. Okay, HAAAAAAA! Lena also comes across the Myriad weapon. Remember that from Season 1? (Seriously, why are all of these things kept on cold storage?) Because Lena was still in Metropolis during all of those Astrid-Non shenanigans, Supergirl explains that the weapon made all of National City into human zombies. Lena drools. And she also finds an alien cannon disruptor thingamajig. Rama Kahn shows up and he and Supergirl come to mutual dissatisfaction of each other and Supergirl ends up getting the best of him along with aforementioned Lena and the thingamajig. Lena runs off hoping she can grab Myriad and get away with her other Lex toy, the transportal watch, but Supergirl finds her and asks what she’s doing with Myriad. Lena says, “Well, you’ve found me out. I’ve been using you, like you’ve been using me.” And here come the histrionics. They start slow but crank up quickly. Lena unloads everything that she’s been knowing, feeling, planning. All of it. She tells Supergirl that she knew because Lex told her – on the day that she killed her own brother. Supergirl thinks she killed Lex, but actually finds out that he landed in the cabin from his and Lena’s very disturbed childhood and that Lena was there with the loaded gun. She knew he had to be stopped and that she needed to protect her friends. Those friends who, as it turns out, Lex revealed to her, knew about Kara and Supergirl being one and the same. Supergirl asks why she didn’t come to her. Betrayal!! Lena says she told Kara she didn’t want to trust anyone but Kara wouldn’t let up and so she let her in, Kara saying “ad nauseum” that she would never lie or betray Lena. Lena shrieks “I killed my brother for you!” and then turns the L-protocol on to trap Supergirl and subject her to low-level Kryptonite. She says she won’t kill Supergirl, that “she’s not a villain. You shouldn’t have treated me like one.” and walks through the portal back to National City. Supergirl is trapped with tears streaking down her face.
Alex’s Blown Up Day
After Brainy figures out that Rama Khan (“Think God for this selfie generation.) is on the scene the two Fortress field-trippers go off to get weapons while Alex and Brainy will keep looking for RK and Rip Roar as well. They get a confirmation signal on Rip Roar and go to the spot, only for it to be a trap and a bomb. Brainy gets a nasty gash on one of his receptors and Alex comes away with a dizzying concussion. Alex is rather perturbed that Leviathan would put Rip Roar out there for no good reason but Brainy says they can use the armor to put clues together. Back at the DEO, Alex is recuperating and Kelly shows up. Alex should have called her to let her know that she was OK, but she didn’t so Kelly started going down worst case scenario territory since her fiancée died before. Kelly is ready to break things off with Alex to protect herself but Brainy interrupts because the gash in his head has made him come to the answer even quicker. He and Alex rush off to the building that is close to the National City tar pits that also has the signal that Brainy has identified as Leviathan’s logo. It’s also close by to his favorite coffee shop and his Tuesday morning Pilates. Anywho, the two go into the building but Gemamnae (see notes below) disguises where Leviathan actually is and the two leave. Later that evening Alex goes to find Kelly and tells her that she was in a hurting place when Kelly came on the scene and helped her heal. She wants to offer the same to Kelly. Kelly asks what if they can’t fix what’s wrong and Alex answers that they will because “you feel like home. You feel like home too.” They kiss and start on their healing journey.
Leviathan Took Out The Dinosaurs – What The Heck?!
Margot goes to report in that she could not get the medallion from Lena Luthor. Rama Khan is irritated, it was a simple task; but, alas, Lena is not a simple target. We’re also introduced to Gemamnae (although never named in the episode, only from the end credits) and we are not introduced to their direct relationship. We do learn from Mitch Pileggi’s excellent expository tone that their ship, as big as an asteroid, crashed on Earth, wiping out the dinosaurs. Dude, I already really don’t like these aliens! Everything was peachy until these pesky human beings started mucking about and screwing everything up. “The Elder” left Rama Khan and Gemamnae as caretakers of the Earth and so today we have Leviathan. The Fortress offers up that he is one of the rulers of Jarhanpur, a sister planet of Krypton that was destroyed after unending civil war. These people just cannot take care of their planets, yeeesh! Also it would seem that Rama Khan is an earth-bender and that he has the ability to sense-find anyone anywhere on the planet because, as he claims in the Fortress of Solitude, “I Am The Earth!”
J’onn’s Brother Really Sux, Except Now He’s A Superfriend
J’onn suffers another psychic attack that feels like Malefic except it can’t be him because they sent him back to the Phantom Zone, and he feels guilty about that because that’s now the third time he has locked him away somewhere. J’onn tries to conjure up M’yrnn and succeeds. M’yrnn tells J’onn he is sensing Malefic because he’s still here. J’onn’s like “in my mind,” and M’yrnn’s like, “no, across town.” Martian humor, amirite?! M’yrnn takes on the burden of the decisions that have led to where Malefic is now and tries to alleviate J’onn’s guilt over helping his father who was suffering with this horrible choice of what to do with Malefic. He tells J’onn that he must decide to either open himself up to Malefic and take what’s coming or banish him away to the Phantom Zone for good. Either way he will lose no love or support from M’yrnn. J’onn goes to Malefic with the Phantom Zone projector but turns it off. He says that he will open his mind to Malefic so he can see that J’onn had the right motives, even if they ended up hurting his brother. J’onn kneels and begs for forgiveness knowing that Malefic can now reach in and destroy his mind. Malefic says he will go in and see and then kill J’onn. He sees the flood of memories from J’onn’s point of view and is left stunned by the hatred and revenge that was driving him for so long. Malefic extends his hand and the brothers embrace.
Closing Thoughts
Words matter, kids. When you start throwing out phrases like “you used me,” “you betrayed me,” “you shouldn’t have treated me like a villain,” you better have really good justification for it. Lena throws out that Supergirl is such a great actress, all those times that Lena was saving who she thought was her fragile friend. In fact, Lena is the one who is fact acting. We can parse the words and the phrases and find evidence for and against all of them. This Season is about the fight for Lena’s soul. Supergirl begs her not to take Myriad and use it because Lena is a “good person.” Lena’s response of “No, you don’t get to tell me what I am anymore!” comes from a place of hurt and sheer emotion that is altogether without reason and logic. Can Supergirl and we hold this tirade against Lena in the end? I don’t know, how far is she willing to go to prove her independence and superiority in a different way than how Lex did it, but from the same motivations? It’s hard to get the Luthor out of the girl, folks. I will always want Lena to be the non-Luthor but the powers-that-be seem to be pressing other buttons. Otherwise, I’m happy to be gaining more understanding of Leviathan and am thrilled for the Mitch Pileggi and Cara Buono duo of Rama Khan and Gemamnae. I’m also thrilled that the story line of the Martian bros turned out for the good. Was this the Monitor’s plan all along because we’re going to need Malefic on the heroes’ side for the upcoming Crisis? Hmmmmmmmm… Finally, I’m not rooting for the Alex/Kelly ship because of Kelly’s past damage plus Alex’s distracted DEO decision making. If they start turning this into a healthy dynamic with appropriate work/life boundaries then of course I’ll get in the boat. Right now though, not so much. One more episode to wrap up the 2019 Supergirl year and then “Crisis!”

One comment about Rama Khan sham a lang ding dong as he written here.
https://www.theoi.com/Gigante/GiganteAntaios.html
That is his classic story and character inspiration.
https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Antaeus
But Rama Khan shama a lang ding dong is actually straight out of Aquaman! Hence Leviathan (from the ocean) and not Behemoth (from the land.).

Jarhanpur was a co-land filled with idiots that co-existed with Atlantis before those idiots sank everybody in a Noah event in the DC mythology.

Will have more soon.
Later Ladies and Herculoids.

I have a correction on my feedback. Darryl is correct that Lena was in the Fortress of Solitude in Season 2 x 21 episode “Resist,” not “Nevertheless She Persisted,” Season 2 x 22 episode.
I assume Kara and/or Clark brought Kelex robots from Argo City back to the Fortress of Solitude after Supergirl destroyed the Henshaw-reprogrammed Kelex in Medusa, Season 2 x 8 episode. In “What’s So Funny About Truth Justice and the American Way?,” Kelex makes a reappearance. Brainy references Kelex as “Kleenex,” and Kelex references Brainy as Nia’s “pompous Coluan friend.”
Ok so where do I send my $10 to get a 5lb dog food bag so we can use it as treats to get Georgia to bark on her introduction mark? She’s like Kara in that she responds to food right John? Ha. That is going to be adorable if it ever makes it into a recording. 🙂
Holy crap, a Karen Lindsay moment? Welcome back Karen!!! 🙂
“I would love to see some more butt kicking Alex.” – seconded! Also an Alex centric episode where she saves the day – CO-SIGN! As I said I’d take even half an episode of Director Danvers right now because we’ve waited at least 4 years for this so let’s see her and her mark on the organization; I know we have more seasons to go (hopefully 5 more) so we could get it there but they teased us so hard last year with calling her it but not showing it that I’m beyond ready to get some moments now! She can go light on the DEO content in like season 7 in favor of personal stuff but for now I want to see Director Alexandra Danvers and what her approach to the position is – is she going to reinstate the use of force? Is it her job to judge detainment versus transportation to their home planet for people? DEO lore in general would be interesting to see as we’ve never really gotten details on it and just how they work. Is Director really what she wants long term or will we learn she’s honored and she’s doing it for J’onn but really she’s into just being a field agent (the best they have) and is lead there to maybe a Director Vasquez head? Let’s be real without Vasquez on the team that place would be chaos. 🙂 Bring on the Alex content!
No, no that can’t be Martine – I can’t take Martine as helpful and possibly on the good guy’s side! Ha. She was awesome in “Person Of Interest” and it’s a shame we didn’t get more with her! I suddenly care about the ancient blonde more. 🙂
Angry Lena – canon. Petty Lena – canon. Evil Lena – NOT CANON!
I think part of what upset Lena was the fact Kara appeared to judge her as the same as her family because she didn’t tell her who she was, to Lena not telling her she’s Supergirl is the same as saying she doesn’t trust her because of the last name regardless of if that’s how Kara felt or not which she didn’t feel that way in S2. She’s so use to being seen as evil because of her last name that Kara keeping secrets from her just brought that all back up; if Lena stepped back rationally she might understand Kara not saying anything but emotionally it’s just another person looking at her as something she’s not. Honestly all this is annoying manufactured drama because 1) Kara never had a problem talking to Lena or making Lena know she didn’t see her the same as her family until this cliché plot and 2) Lena even with all the possibilities of not seeing Kara as anything but another human still feels handicapped in intelligence for this plot because honestly she shouldn’t be that surprised given all the slip ups and near catches she’s done with her; maybe it’s just me but while the acting is fun to watch again I don’t like this plot because I fear so much they’ll do a stupid female Lex-Clark plot and Kara is not her cousin and Lena isn’t her brother so why not embrace the unique dynamic of these two instead of trying to copy and paste a plot your whole fandom has said multiple times we don’t want…let someone else be the dark broody person of the season who needs saving (this is just another reason to embrace antiheroes more on these shows and we have a perfect one in Alex) or you know bring in another villain or create your own but please just stop with the bad guy Lena plot as no one wants that.
If they wanted a Kara-Lena falling out they could have had it be over how to handle a topic not secret identities; this plot has been annoying since season 3 and I’m ready for them to get back to their season 2 selves except Lena now knows everything.
“I believe we could coexist.” “Have you not seen ‘Jurassic Park’?!” – lol Karen.
Phil Lamar is also John Stewart aka Green Lantern in Bruce Timms’ “Justice League” series; he’s also a player from “Mad TV”.
Personally I’m not crazy over the story with J’onn and his brother because 1) again I’m beyond over the “‘I’m the last of my kind!’ Psych no you aren’t!” type plots with this series, when you say you’re the last mean it for once, and 2) I think it’s a plot that needs to be balanced and I’m not sure it will be; yes J’onn should have tried to help his brother but that said it doesn’t change the fact his brother lashes out in poor ways and is responsible for his choices in part at least also. I don’t think he should just be welcomed in and they treat it as it’s all on J’onn. So honestly at this point in the series this is my least favorite plot right now in the season; had this happened in like season 3 instead of J’onn’s dad it might be one thing (save his dad season 7) but now I’m often just meh to it being on screen. William is still the worst thing in the season but this would be after him as far as things that excite me. Give J’onn something to do fine but this just feels like a repeat plot close to the plot we just saw with him so it’s like “Again?” for me.
A thing to remember with Mal is he’s been whammed by Lena’s program so does he really forgive J’onn or is it just the Hope program?
“It’s not like she goes around telling everyone.” – anymore; let’s be real she was telling people left and right at the start. Kelly I think is the only one who doesn’t know about Kara in the “inner circle” unless it happened off screen because Azie was really hardcore about that in interviews – Kelly has not lied to Lena like others and Kelly doesn’t know Kara’s secret; Kelly probably won’t make a deal of it but as far as it seems she doesn’t know about Kara as Supergirl.
The only joke Karen didn’t make was calling him Ramen like the noodles; still Ramacan is the best one. 🙂
Woah Monty NO, William is the worst thing about season five!
How many times do you think Kara’s done a “Frozen” scene in the Fortress? 🙂
You know who Alex was focused with and could still hit on? Sam. #AgentArias!
Lena didn’t mean to kill Adam to be fair.
But Kara has killed in extreme cases – see Parasite and arguably Master Jailer (she snapped the dude’s neck); again its what sets her in part apart from Clark, if Lex pushed too much she would kill him. This isn’t to say she enjoys it so don’t get things twisted writers but she has and would kill if need be. As Lena said Kara IS NOT Clark so don’t write her like female him; it is still a last resort option but to say Kara doesn’t kill is inaccurate.
Rachel is AWESOME as Alice on “Batwoman”!
“Supergirl” beats “Gotham” Karen. 🙂
What’s up Justina, no feedback?! Also I missed the poll voting this week.
Karen definitely has to be on the Crisis panel!
“kara was telling people left and right at the start” that’s not really accurate. winn was the only one she told outright and everyone else like j’onn, alex, and james already knew and she never told cat or maggie who just figured it out themselves

Kelex should be a template inside the Fortress that is a throwaway asset; since we have repeatedly seen in other settings (movies, comic books, and other series, that superman robots are redshirts, which are trashed every time someone comes through the fortress’ revolving door.

Streaky the Supercat explains; Kara is a cat person! I can meow on cue!.

Welcome back, Scarlet Cougar. I have a few things to explain about science illiteracy in a moment. (See below.)

If one wants aspidistra-kicking Alex, one needs to write Alex into a stable situation of character development. Alex cannot be the message-bunny for the target audience. And if she is going to be the message bunny, she must not be the sterotype negative message carrier for the target audience?
“No, no that can’t be Martine – I can’t take Martine as helpful and possibly on the good guy’s side! Ha. She was awesome in “Person Of Interest” and it’s a shame we didn’t get more with her! I suddenly care about the ancient blonde more.”
Granny Ungoodness was ruined this episode. She is now a one shot write-off.
“Angry Lena – canon. Petty Lena – canon. Evil Lena – NOT CANON!”
https://superman.fandom.com/wiki/Lena_Luthor
Lena Luthor’s default condition, in canon, is insanity. The Supergirl writers are writing from the DC Canon. Not evil, but psychotically dangerous is Lena in that she cannot recognize the difference between consequences of her actions and her good intentions which is always the hallmark of incredibly dangerous do-gooders, like Niles Caulder of the Doom Patrol, Bruce Wayne in any iteration, or Barry Allen of the Flash TV show. This character defect is a subtle one in that the do-gooder who needs to be locked up does not ID the reason for why the do-gooder needs to be caught and contained. This is what Charles Xavier of the X-fools is an evil doer instead of a misguided do-gooder. Xavier knows exactly what he attempts.
(TEAM HUMAN when it comes to the X-fools.) Also Team Luthor, when Lena escapes from the Midville Funny Farm.
“I think part of what upset Lena was the fact Kara appeared to judge her as the same as her family because she didn’t tell her who she was, to Lena not telling her she’s Supergirl is the same as saying she doesn’t trust her because of the last name regardless of if that’s how Kara felt or not which she didn’t feel that way in S2. Write to canon may be difficult to accept, but Lena is written that way. See above my comments. What makes me unhappy about the Lena character treatment is that Lena has her Luthordumb moments when it comes to Els. Someone as bright as a Luthor should get past the “glasses” defense instantly.
“If they wanted a Kara-Lena falling out they could have had it be over how to handle a topic not secret identities; this plot has been annoying since season 3 and I’m ready for them to get back to their season 2 selves except Lena now knows everything.”
Refer to my comment about Luthordumb moments.
“ “I believe we could coexist.” “Have you not seen ‘Jurassic Park’?!” – lol Karen.”
Refer to my X-fools comments.
“Phil Lamar is also John Stewart aka Green Lantern in Bruce Timms’ “Justice League” series; he’s also a player from “Mad TV”.”
Did not know about the “Mad TV” stint.
“Personally I’m not crazy over the story with J’onn and his brother because 1) again I’m beyond over the “‘I’m the last of my kind!’ Psych no you aren’t!” type plots with this series, when you say you’re the last mean it for once, and 2) I think it’s a plot that needs to be balanced and I’m not sure it will be; yes J’onn should have tried to help his brother but that said it doesn’t change the fact his brother lashes out in poor ways and is responsible for his choices in part at least also. I have NOT the patience for utter stupidity. Have a psychotic episode while the granddad martian “ghost” stands in for J’onn’s demented mind trying to figure out the clues as to where Malefic is?
I commented that a genocidal mass murderer and a species traitor needs to DIE. There is no guess work about that choice. Refer to the X-fools commentary above.
“A thing to remember with Mal is he’s been whammed by Lena’s program so does he really forgive J’onn or is it just the Hope program?”
Good catch and even another reason to off the schlub. That is TWICE Malefic has succumbed to outside “evil” or “psychotic” influences. White Martian or Mad, as in lip harmonica playing, Scientist Lena. The Martians when submitted to the moral algebra, really SUCK.
“It’s not like she goes around telling everyone.” – anymore; let’s be real she was telling people left and right at the start. See my comments about the Luthordumb moments of bad writing.
“The only joke Karen didn’t make was calling him Ramen like the noodles; still Ramacan is the best one.”
The best joke is Rama… can’t”
“Woah Monty NO, William is the worst thing about season five!”
I don’t know. Kelly is running a clse second with her Florianna Lima 2.0.
“How many times do you think Kara’s done a “Frozen” scene in the Fortress?”
Let’s ask Caitlin Parish, the writer, who seems to be a “Frozen” fan.
“You know who Alex was focused with and could still hit on? Sam. #AgentArias!”
NGTH.
“Lena didn’t mean to kill Adam to be fair.”
Lena cannot discern a human moral event horizon if you Venn it for her.
“But Kara has killed in extreme cases – see Parasite and arguably Master Jailer (she snapped the dude’s neck); again its what sets her in part apart from Clark, if Lex pushed too much she would kill him. Might want to take a look since Red-Faced. Kara Has killed THOUSANDS or do you think she did those dudes on Fort Rozz any good, back in the day?
“Rachel is AWESOME as Alice on “Batwoman”!”
Hmm. No comment.
““Supergirl” beats “Gotham” Karen.”
YMMV. Mine does. So far Batwoman has scored 3/3/3 consistently.
“What’s up Justina, no feedback?! Also I missed the poll voting this week.”
“Karen definitely has to be on the Crisis panel!”
Someone is going to have to explain the cosmic treadmill.
I hope it won’t be an SGTV writer.
Here’s a poll.
Choose 1.
SGTV writers off William and make Kelly a 3-d character.
Rama Khan Shama lang a ding dong makes with the magicks and we have an Antaeus moment where Kara has to play Hercules tgo beat him, but it is Lena who figures it out.
Eve Hope[less] develops a Myriad of ways for Lena to recognize the harm she does?
Most likely: the SGTV writers will goof it up with a conventional Lena turns evil and Kara punches the problem plot. And oh, Malefic escapes after being “good” for only a moment.
============================================
And now why I gripe about science illiteracy.
Don’t tell me that a parallel universe (Whatever we call it this week,) if it obeys laws that allows a girl to fly and lift spaceships the size of Mount Everest and yet obeys the same principles as Archimedes, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Murray Gellman and Feynmann laid down for us; is going to contain whackos who MAGICALLY parody the Greek Myths and somehow not only sank Atlantis and then further suggest that they were the ones who offed the dinosaurs.
That 65 million years is a 1206 line instruction runtime error in the writing if one wants to assert Leviathan has been that thing throughout human history that long. Consider, that I am just an average college trained nincompoop. I barely understand quark interactions and I have trouble with the bulk, the ten dimensions of curled spacetime in M-theory or that gravity and time are emergent and not necessarily co-existent properties of space-time. I even have trouble remembering which isotope of uranium goes into bombs (U-235 dagnabit). Yet, I KNOW my Darwin. Nothing that lives remains static for 65 million years. NOTHING.
Humans, as we understand ourselves, are not much older than the hairy reasoner goofballs who drew pictures in caves. 100,000 years ago tops. Village dwellers, maybe, 25,000 years that far back. You go back a quarter million years to the first Cro-magnon and the other humans running around, (Neandethals in Europe, and Homo Erectii holdovers in China) and you are not seeing humans. They are still animals. Some dumb aliens waited 64,000,000 years to see us pick fleas off of each other?
IOW, the liberal arts trained scatter-brains who write this show, who should be smarter and more talented than I am, deliver a timebar of 65.000,000 years and only mention disasters Leviathan causes in human history timescales of the last 3,000 years? How about the Chesapeak comet, the Tsuba volcano event, the Yellowstone lava flood, or the annihilation of the Clovis Culture by a comet exploding over North America? This is stuff that should be familiar to viewers which will give a time bar at least consistent with alien idiots who magically arrived on Earth via asteroid and hit the Yucatan shattering a pangeatic formed land mass and killing everything larger than a burrowing gopher 65,000,000 years ago. BTW that is called catastrophic interruption of stable eco-systems in the gospel according to Darwin.
Different Earth SAME RULES of good writing apply-even to the comic book science invoked.
Someone is still going to have to explain the cosmic treadmill to these people.
I hope it won’t be an SGTV writer who tries to write about it.
PS; Karen, if there is a Martian Moosehunter TV series spinoff, it will have to be set in the whacko-wing of the Steve Orlando mandated Midville Police Department Holding Facility for the criminally confused. J’onn and Malefic in DC canon are evildoers. The only innocent Martian is poor “M’Gann M’orzz”. Poor confused White Martian.
PPS. Kara was trying to kill Rama Khan shama lang a ding dong. She never resorts to the lasers against people, unless she intends to kill.
Monty
“I can meow on cue!” – I’m more dogs than cats Monty so I’ll do $5 for a cat. 🙂
I do not accept any forms of evil Lena on this show as cannon; the concept of a character who does bad accidentally because they think they’re doing good is good when done right (see Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark) but I still don’t think Lena has shown that disconnect to the degree they’re suggesting. While her desperation could play into the plot she also knows of the Luthor tag and thus you’d think that would dial her back some at least enough to pose the question of “Is this too far?”; then again we didn’t think someone with her intelligence would be fooled by glasses either. *shrug* Evil Lena wreaks of doing Lex full time without having Lex full time and I don’t want to see Superman plots on “Supergirl” all the time, she is not her cousin; if they’re going to do plots from his run then at least put a fresh spin on them like they did with “For The Girl Who Has Everything” – keep Lena good and show that a Luthor and Super can get along…again I get angry Lena but evil her no!
“The best joke is Rama… can’t” – nice addition. 🙂
Oh Caitlin Parrish how I’d love to see her be the show showrunner for at least a season! She’s done some of my favorite episodes and while I can’t say for certain she would bring back the vibe of season one I would like to think she would bring back continuity and logic which is season one like in and of itself.
“Batwoman” has had more 9s for me this season than “Supergirl” has so far, mainly due to Alice content and Mary the step sister who I just love more each week, but on the whole both seasons have been good; “Supergirl” to “Supergirl” though S5 does feel kind of meh. S5 isn’t season 2 bad arguably, the only good parts of S2 were Alex and Lena, (even as rough as season 2 was to watch to me it still was better than the other superhero shows at the time) but there have been better seasons; again I put a lot on pacing and screen time being wasted on William, I get the whole friend in need thing but William just does not capture my excitement each week thus again he feels like a time suck which effects my enjoyment of scenes and I just can’t picture him and Kara being enjoyable to watch for me so again I’m preparing for wasted screen time if that happens – there’s good elements to the season don’t get me wrong but there’s also things I’d be fine with changing. Going back to the original thing though I stand by my statement of “Supegirl” is better than Fox’s “Gotham” even at it’s worse; the girl who played Selina Kyle on there was a highlight for sure as well as they guy who played Penguin but beyond that I just couldn’t get into it, maybe if they slow played killing the Waynes to give us a fresh story it would have been something but as is it was just another Batman property except they de-aged him and other iconic figures to make it seem fresh.
I’m all for William leaving so I guess I’ll take this one “SGTV writers off William and make Kelly a 3-d character” especially as it’s the one they’re closest to pulling off now. Hope is being lead by Lena so I can’t see her stopping her. I’m hoping the promo for the next episode spoiled the outcome and when Lena hits the red button it’s to back off the crusade against Kara…be angry some other way Lena; I REALLY hope they don’t make Lena just another Luthor but I know also how much they’ve enjoyed in the past making Kara like Clark even when there’s no precedent for it – see reporter Kara and what a joke that is as she never showed a desire for it until it was forced upon her in season 2…I’m nervous.
