For Good saw Lena struggling with her family drive verses her good nature. Sam was struggling to find answers with Alex’s help. Morgan Edge was being targeted. Supergirl, Guardian and Mon-EL had to come save the day.
For Good. . . Lena Makes A Break:
Morgan Edge’s (Adrian Pasdar) life was almost ended by a hijacked car and he blamed it on Lena. Lena was poisoned and Edge was the most likely candidate. But Lena was saved by Supergirl’s quick flight to the DEO and Alex’s medical skills. Lena learned from Jimmy that her poisoner was killed by a disappearing bullet. That led her to Thunder Corp and who did she find? Lillian Luthor (Brenda Strong) hijacked Edge’s car to try an kill him and she took out Lena’s poisoner. But we were left wondering if it wasn’t Lillian who hired the guy to begin with.
Lena and Lillian had a verbal sparing session about Lena’s drive and passion for revenge. Lena says she could seek revenge but isn’t going to do that. She is not going down that path. But she does see a drone and pass to the gala that gives her a hint at Lillian’s plan. Later she debriefs with Kara. She realizes two things about herself. She may be a killer and she is strategic, thinking steps ahead. She doesn’t have to follow the Luthor path, she can walk out that strategic thinking without killing. She and Kara spot Edge on the news. He is at the gala wearing one of the passes from Thunder Corp. So they plan to intercept and save him from Lillian.
Sam & Alex Look For Good Health:
After confiding in Alex last week, Sam offers up L-Corp’s labs for testing. Alex tells Sam (and reminds us of the season 1 details) that she was a medical researcher before joining the DEO. She gives Sam an MRI and it yields no obvious cause to Sam’s memory issues. So she draws blood and send it and the MRI data off to experts. Later Sam takes Alex’s advice and fill in Kara and Lena on her memory issues. Sam opens up on her fears of not being in control. She has been in control of her and Ruby’s lives since she was 16. The group promises to support both of them and find answers for Sam’s issues, since the experts found no medical reason for her issues.
Battle For Good:
At the Gala, Kara distracts Edge’s guard so that Lena can get to Morgan. Lena wants to know the truth and has a recorder to capture it all. The drones start to do a show, when one breaks free and comes after Morgan. Lena says if he gives over a confession she will save him. He agrees and she destroys the badge that the drone was using for a target. Lillian comes up disappointed in Lena. She then steps into the drone which has become the Lexoarmor suit. Lillian is ready to attack Supergirl. Mon-EL the DEO team have a plan. He takes Lillian on while Winn hacks the other drones. Supergirl and Mon-EL attack Lillian and then Winn takes her out.
Edge tries to get the recording of his confession back but, is taken out by Guardian and knocked out by Lena. The police take Edge away, but how long the charges will stick, we don’t know. Lillian is also taken away but, we know she will escape some how. But even so Lena has learned much about herself. She can act against her family nature for her good and for the good of all.
For Good saw ties being strengthened and some broken. We saw our, unfortunately, weekly Kara & Mon-EL apology session. We learned the World Killers cannot be tracked like Superman and Supergirl. But Winn narrowed down the list to four posiblities and Kara, thanks to a vision picked one out. Overall it was a steady episode of character development for both Lena and Sam. Next week looks exciting.

Now taking the name Supergirl, Kara possesses strength and speed that rivals (or even surpasses) her cousin Superman’s. As she searches for her role in this new world, she’ll cross paths (and trades blows) with the JSA, the Teen Titans and the Outsiders.
