In this episode of The Fringe Podcast, we discuss the Season 4 premiere called, “Neither Here Nor There.” We share our opinions about the differences in the new timeline, the dynamic that Lincoln Lee brings to the team, the involvement of the Observers and the relationship between the two universes. We also share sound clips from a conference call with Fringe producers Jeff Pinkner and Joel Wyman.

Great Podcast. Not sure if you are aware, but around the 55 minute mark your audio starts cutting in and out.
Same thing happens for me. I downloade from ITunes. π
Thanks for letting us know about the audio issues everyone. I’m not sure what happened to cause that but it has now been fixed and re-uploaded to iTunes, Zune and this website. The link above should work great now.
Since John Scott died from the chemicals he was exposed to in the pilot, it could be that in this amber timeline the case was never cracked.
So what if the chemicals that made John Scott translucent were part a ZFT project to develop shapeshifters? That would make these shapeshifters ZFT and ZFT the big baddies this year.
I have just nominated you on “podcastawards.com” for “Entertainment” and “Best Produced” categories. π
Note to others… only nominate for these two as mentioned in this week’s podcast. You only get two votes, so these are the ones to concentrate on.
A+++ podcast. Thank you Darrell and Clint. π
I can confirm my iTunes download of this podcast has audio cutting in and out around 56 minutes into the podcast. π
I too can confirm the audio problem
Yup. Audio problem is certainly there…. I used a third party podcatcher. I thought my bluetooth was going out on me! Good to see I’m not going crazy.
Glad to have you guys back! Now, that being said, I will need a short podcast containing only the sentences i missed due to “bad audio”.
Either that or I will start sending you emails mis…………………………….. ………… … after making a peanut butter sandwich.
Thank you

I listened to just over an hour of the podcast and are excited to be back in the world of Fringe! I too had the audio issues, but I wanted to report that when I went back to listen to the rest of the podcast just now, it has been removed from iTunes. Maybe this is in order to address the audio issues, but I just wanted to let you know! π
Sorry, like a lot of your fans I won’t be able to listen to the podcast because I can’t watch the show online for over a week.
Thanks fox!
Darrell, have you gotten a response from Hulu+ about their not having Fringe available until the following episode? I recorded last week’s to DVD so my husband could watch it and there’s a problem with the playback so he’s out of luck. AAAAAHHHHHHH!
Hulu was very polite, but said that it was a decision FOX made and didn’t really comment further. I’m still waiting to hear back from FOX. They have told me that they are working on a response. Hopefully I’ll hear something before this week’s podcast.
Hi guys,
I am so glad you’re back! Add me to the list of people who had problems with this podcast: the first time I downloaded it, only half the file was there (but it showed the length of the full file) and the second time I downloaded it (today, Thursday) it had the same audio cut-outs as mentioned above. I downloaded it from UK iTunes both times, if that’s important.
As another note regarding watching the show: UK iTunes has never carried Fringe, even though I’ve repeatedly asked them to. π
I’m really sorry about the audio issues, Elizabeth. I know it’s been frustrating for you all. The corrected file is available so you probably need to manually download it again. Try this: In iTunes, click on Podcasts on the left hand side navigation. Now in the main area under The Fringe Podcast, find the file labeled Episode 402-“Neither Here Nor There.” Right click on it and delete the file. Go ahead and permanently delete it from your computer. Now, go to the iTunes store and locate our podcast. Pull up the listing for our podcast that has all of our episodes listed. On the right hand side of each episode, you should see a button that says FREE. Click the FREE button for Episode 402-“Neither Here Nor There.” It should then re-download the file and it should be the new, corrected file.
Let me know if this works for you. Again, I’m really sorry about the audio issues.
Great podcast as always and great start to the season for sure.
Not a Fringe question, but…what did you think of Terra Nova? I really enjoyed it and was quite surprised it was that good. The dinosaurs were awesome too! I hope they can keep it up for the whole season. Compared to Spielberg’s Falling Skies, and lets just say Skies was bleh.
Enjoy tonight’s show π and weekend!
