Is it ever explained how the human companions can breathe in seemingly open space like they do in the opening without helmets?
Honestly I thought Jodie said Pirate’s Heart. Ha.
To me this is the best group of companions because I actually like all of them. In the past I’ve either liked (Bill) or disliked (Clara) the individual or liked one part of the group more than another (Amy over Roy). There may end up being a favorite by season’s end but I still like the group as a whole more than I’ve liked other groups that I’ve seen at least multiple episodes with.
I felt for Graham when he went for the fist bump and Ryan just left him hanging.
From what I’ve read Chibnall has said that Christmas has been done to death as far as he can see and there’s nothing really left to touch on it where as New Year’s is about fresh perspectives so there’s a perfect theme with the series. On the one hand I am bummed as I want Jodie to get specials like the guys but on the other if they can’t think of a good idea for Christmas then I’m fine not forcing something just to say you did a special. There’s always “The Snowmen” or one of the others to watch if you HAVE to have a Christmas Who special; I’m interested to see the New Year’s event though.
2020 is a long wait for this awesome Doctor and crew!
I’ll admit I certainly worried when I first heard there was going to be 3 companions this season because I feared not everyone would get equal screen time or backstory which on one hand you can argue compared to Graham and Ryan because of their familial relationship Yaz does get less focus on a whole scale but just episode by episode count they’ve thankfully balanced everyone well so far I feel giving A then B then C a turn as the focus and it’s working a lot better than I’d thought currently. Part of me feels Graham may not be in next season just because he’ll want time to morn Grace more or maybe he and Ryan will take a season off to work more on their relationship but I’m preparing for not everyone to be in the next season sadly, I’d gladly take them all again though if everyone did want to come back!
Thanks SO much for your post comments, Aaron! We appreciate them, and your message that we shared on the podcast.
It’s definitely going to be amazing to watch more background episodes, focused on the Best Friends!
