Hello Undergrounders! We return after yet another short break. Introducing subject 9. Wait, no. Introducing Izzy Bowin. Well, let’s just call her the Fiddler. Yes, in this 14th episode of season four, we meet the 9th bus-meta. She is a young and upcoming country music artist. Her abilities could be the key to defeating DeVoe. All team Flash has to do is find her, train her, and not push her away!
This week we find Barry Allen being asked to take an indefinite leave of absence from the Central City Police Department. It seems that Central City is finally wising up to the idea that they live in a place of impossibilities and general craziness. The public has seen enough to know that just because someone says that they’re Devoe, doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the truth. Until Barry can clear his name with incontrovertible facts, he is unemployed. Thank goodness for that S.T.A.R. Labs money. What ever will Barry do to fill his time? Dibny has an idea on that subject.
Speaking of Dibny, it seems our favorite stretchy hero has finally and fully embraced his heroic nature. After finding, losing, and finding again, the “meta of the week”, Dibny decides to encourage and help train Izzy Bowin. In the process of getting in touch with his inner hero and delivering quite a nice pep talk, Dibny falls in love. What could possibly go wrong?
Meanwhile, Harry and D.A. Cecile Horton decide it’s time to become friends. Yeah, Harry’s back. After learning of D.A. Cecile Horton’s current subject of stress, Joe’s dreams, he creates the Mental Activity Dampener. Naming is hard. Maybe he should just call it the Cerebral Inhibitor. Humans are a tricky species.
Feeling overly pressured, Bowin decides that she is better off going after DeVoe on her own. And the Fiddler is born. Surely with her new powers focused through her fiddle, and Team Flash at her side, she will be triumphant! This Turner don’t need no Hooch!!
