At the New China Beauty Salon, an elderly lady brings down Red’s gun and luggage as a Girl on a Guzhen plays Year of the Dog. The lady wakes Red up and tells him he has to leave; the lady tries to give Red his gun but he leaves he it behind
Red sits on the couch as Katarina plays IV. Rain, In Your Black Eyes by Ezio Bosso. Red asks Katarina why she went into the water then he tells Katarina about Liz’s death and how he can’t be part of Agnes’ life without hurting Tom, which would hurt Agnes truly a mortal sin.

Last episode was a waste of show without enough explanation. I hate Liz left like that. We love Red. Keep him and Dembe is strong story lines.
I like the show and I understood why Red wanted to be in Liz life. By the end of the episode I realized that Red was having daydreams about how Liz mother died. I was still hoping Liz is alive and I want Red to be in Liz daughter life and Tom should understand that everything is not Red fault. Red will always be there for the ones he love even from a distance. I love the Cape May episode.
One thing: Nik’s “interrogation” could not have taken place immediately after b/c the camera makes a point of closing in on Nik’s beard. He was clean-shaven in the episode, but in the scene with Red, he definitely has at least a three-day stubble. I think Red says “That’s enough” b/c each time he hears the details he relives Lizzie’s “death.”
