Case Profile for Abraham Stern

A member of the British Treasury, William Lowndes in the early 18th century “coined” the phrase: “Take care of the penny, and the pounds will take care of themselves”. Well, that is exactly what Mr. Stern, a former employee of the Denver Mint intended when he decides to leave four special bronze Lincoln pennies to his son Abraham. On them, a treasure map to a huge sum of money, Federal Reserve notes payable on demand worth billions that the mint said never existed. Trouble is, Abraham spent these pennies on four fireball candies and has spent his life chasing this mythical treasure ever since. Turns out Red just so happens to have one of these pennies that he lifted from Greyson Blaise earlier this season. When Abraham ambushes Red and steals the penny the hunt is on for the mythical treasure.

The Music of Abraham Stern

Four new tunes and one oldie but goodie this week. First Red and Dembe chat about adventure and mystery as we hear Tropilounge’s “Cool Mambo” in the background. Later as Liz looks for a way to dispose of Navarro’s body we hear Kurt Vile’s “Life Like This”. When Liz takes it upon herself to become The Stewmaker, we are treated once again to the Suuns “Up Past The Nursery”. As the double-crossing heats up between Team Red and Team Stern, we hear “My Type” from Saint Motel. Then as we close up the episode and Liz cleans out her tub of love we hear “Legendary” by the group Welshly Arms.

You can hear these songs via the official Blacklist playlist on Spotify or the same playlist recreated by us on Apple Music.
