[sc:astop]Cammien Ray and Martin the Flash get split between earths on our first divisive episode of the season! Join us as we resume our hero and villain roles and discuss our very different takes on this week on Earth 1, and Earth 1 2040! 🙂
This season Arrow will be airing on Tuesdays at 9pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Friday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Thursday afternoon – and maybe an early Thursday evening submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

Zoe is a Canary so she should be in the show!
6? But “Laurel” and Lyla were so good Cammie!
The office fight scene in the opening portion was great!
I agree with Flash, the more I watch the 2040 stuff the less I care about it but for different reasons; Flash doesn’t care because of time but for me I don’t care because of the people. William and Zoe are great and I’d totally watch more with them but Mia and Connor I’m just very meh too. Mia feels like she’s on a different skill level from last season so continuity wise that puts me off of her and again takes me out of her scenes when she says things like she’s in charge yet she gets her butt kicked in more scenes than not; Connor is just there because we haven’t seen the Diggles or the group interact with kid him so the emotional connection isn’t there for me with him, he feels like what people hope JJ will be to me and thus he just feels like a plot more than a character. JJ could be a good villain but every time I see him I wish he was baby Sara instead so I can’t really get attached to him thus on the whole the future stuff to me isn’t as good this year as it was last year.
If the purpose is as Cammie said to build up Mia so the spin off has a starting point similar to ARROW if you will then they shouldn’t have done the flashforwards last year because trying to scale her down this year to make that starting point happens leaves her feeling inconsistent to me and takes me out of her stuff. Also she feels one dimensional in attitude the more I see her sadly, I get she’s moody like her dad but that can’t be all there is too her. Let her smile a bit writers; show us happy Mia instead of just rage her all the time…let’s she her sad instead of keeping it locked all inside, she’s Felicity’s daughter also even if she’s mainly taking after her father she didn’t know so show is her Smoak DNA also! Is there any chance the Crisis will bring back baby Sara? She can lead the Deathstroke gang just as easy if they really want to do that plot! *Sigh* I don’t trust you Barry.
The show is called “Arrow”, but this season I’m here for Laurel 3.0; I hope the spin off keeps her sass at the very least even if they are doing a weird hybrid her now by using Laurel’s personality and backstory to a point with Siren’s character concept. I’m still bitter they copped out on having her be an anti hero/anti villain like she should have been; anti hero/villain is not a dirty word writers…they’re arguably the most interesting type of character! Last season Black Siren was the anti hero/villain the series seriously needed. 🙁
Sorry ComicgeekKev but Alex Danvers has the best fights in this universe. 🙂
“…because to you they were just copies of the people you loved, but for me they were real!” – “Laurel” was the MVP of this episode to me!
Katana was awesome in this episode! It was a great speech by Oliver explaining why he was doing what he was doing but I still side mainly with her.
Lyla is a badass always, but the end reveal with her would have been better if we didn’t know it was coming; this is one of those times they should have kept this reveal secret until after this moment!
Speaking of Lyla though, just another woman Siren seems to have chemistry with; can Siren just get a girlfriend already because she has WAY more chemistry with the women on the series than she has any man! Speaking of ladies of who need to kiss, Mia just kiss Zoe already because your hungry eyes to her are adorable girl but tiring, make that move! 🙂
Again Siren is different Cammie, this is version 3 of a character named Laurel on “Arrow”. Version one was Laurel as we saw her pre season four’s death and version two was Siren before they copped out on her as a MUCH needed anti and now we have the hodgepodge of the two to make this Laurel who is a bit of both but neither really; she’s like the third twin in this Laurel line because again just because a character is played by the same actress and has a similar story it doesn’t make them the same character! I am not ok with the level of disrespect Black Siren got last year as you can tell.
“Everything is going to collapse into one so it won’t matter.” – SHUT UP Flash! ? *leaves to Barry proof National City*
They love to redeem people on this series instead embracing them as villains or anti heroes so I can see JJ being redeemed but I agree I would rather him stay the bad guy because it’s more interesting for the story!
“Supergirl” is not a spin off of “Arrow” like the others Cammie, we are our own. 🙂 True all CW superhero shows come from the Arrowverse but we are not like Barry or the Legends or even Batwoman, we are like “Black Lightening” in that we come from our own world thank you. “Batwoman” and “Black Lightening” are welcome to join us on our Earth but “Flash” has to stay on his own – again I don’t trust him not to screw up plots I love, he brought it on himself with his track record.
Chyna White was the standout villain of the episode for me. As you said Cammie I totally thought she was going to kill Katana in that one moment!
Given than Nada Parbat is a focus next week if Nyssa isn’t in next week then I say forget next week! I know Thea is in it but if you were ever going to have Nyssa back also this is the episode to do it in because that’s her place! I hope we see them talking about Thea’s and Nyssa’s adventures post them leaving to take down the pits because that could be its own spin off; who doesn’t want to follow those two around?! 🙂
What if each “lesson” is from the season of that number? For example episode one was an alternate pilot essentially and episode 3 features Nada Parbat which was in season 3. Could this mean episode 4 will involve magic to nod to the Damien Darkh season? I know people hated that season for a variety of reasons but what if that is where each piece is coming from especially if this is meant to be like Oliver’s “It’s A Wonderful Life” trip? Excluding episode 9 because it’s the crossover and episode 10 as it’s the all new future to come if you will bat leaves 8 episodes and “Arrow” is 8 seasons. I also agree we need to see some happy moments from him learning instead of just sad stuff.
I don’t see Diggle knowing Lyla is Harbinger, but I can see him supporting her when he finds out.
