[sc:astop]Martin “The Flash” and Cammien Ray return as Team Arrow returns in this midseason premiere – with lots of questions and lots of theories! The story of Emiko Queen unfolds as we see multiple levels of danger that Star City faces from within, and the few answers we get leave us with more questions about the present and future. Join us as discuss where we find Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, and the rest of the gang, and where we expect them to go in season 7.
This season Arrow will be airing on Mondays at 8pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Wednesday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Tuesday afternoon – and maybe an early Tuesday evening submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

Interesting feedback on the feedback. Balance huh? I put it into my two recent Flash reviews. Go there to see how “balance” works for me. This Arrow episode I tried to find the good. There was not much material to work with, I’m afraid. But if there was anything good and there usually is, and one wants it; it was Sea Shimooka, who gave a standup and stand out performance in her acting and her stunting as she played the role of Emiko. The performance was just a sunspot on the dull spatial canvas of this episode. There was nothing there of other interest to me to carry it or curry it.
When I call out a professional actor by name, it has a purpose. I see the actor in the role and observe technique to see if he/she properly understands what must be conveyed. Emotion, yes, expression yes, but first and foremost is communication of the spoken word in a speech supported visual art form. There is not much point speaking the words in a mumble or clowning the part one is paid to portray if that is not what the story demands. If for example; Echo Kellum wants to one note without subtlety or variation from one episode to the next, playing the stock fool as Richard Burbage understood it, that is his choice. It is an interpretation. But for Murtphy’s sake, enunciate so that the sound pickup will not catch mumbled lines. That is not work I would expect from a paid professional actor and why should I not name the actor or the fault?

#KeepBlackSirenEvil!
Is it Subbie aka Geoff?
Forget Renee have Emiko meet Black Siren, she can be the Canary for the B team Renee founded with Emiko this episode in a way, and they can hook up to do a Black Canary/Green Arrow type romance this way you have that pairing for comic fans but you also get to keep Olicity for those fans! 🙂
After years of shows where lost siblings come together simply because they’re related I really hope Emiko doesn’t become buddy-buddy with Oliver because they share blood; if they end up friends because of other things okay but I don’t need her calling him her brother or even treating him like a brother because she doesn’t know him honestly so if they bonded too quick it feel unrealistic to me. Heck I’m fine again with them never seeing each other as sibling a really because just because you share blood doesn’t mean you see someone as family. I think it would be really refreshing if “Arrow” took the route of not forcing a siblinghood between the two simply because they share DNA!
No body no death! I love the way you explained how it would be a big deal if Felicity did go down Cammie so it’s a hint towards she’s alive even if this is the future it just feels too much like they’re saying it wanting is to believe which probably means it’s the opposite and as some guess she’s just hiding out and maybe Black Star knows where she is and they’re taking down the Glades later. How all of this ties into this season I don’t know beyond showing a possible future for the characters in case this is the final season but odds are this isn’t so it’s just another future which again has me asking how this matters to the season as it very much is its own story in a sense just with the characters aged up; I don’t hate the flashforwards but I’m not sure what their purpose really is so as Cammie said given her position I can’t see them killing Felicity in something like this unless you’re sure you have another season coming in which case this is a throwaway plot but even then it’s Felicity if she’s going down in the future we see it’ll be making sure Renee goes down and then the future will reset anyways because of something that happens in the past so it won’t count. That’s kind of one of the things that makes it hard to really invest in the flashforwards I have to say, they’re a possible future not one that’s been said to be set in stone so while an interesting look at things they’re not exactly gospel for where characters will end up.
Diggle and Lyla didn’t make the deal Diggle made it and Lyla backed him up but she wasn’t happy about it.
Diaz on screen = zzzz from me.
I just have to say it – 6 is more than 4 Flash so shouldn’t it have been the mark of 6? Ha.
“Supergirl” had the best return for sure! 🙂
I definitely miss Nyssa too Justina!
Happy belated birthday Flash!!!
