[sc:astop]Oliver and Team Arrow attempt to regain control of Star City, as Dragon’s corruption is revealed to be deeper and more sinister than they could have expected. Meanwhile, trouble brews within the team as the tension over who will retain the role of team leader builds to a full-on fight.
This spring Arrow will be airing on on Thursdays at 9pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

My favorite part of this “Arrow” episode was the “Supergirl” promo during it. Also Dinah, Felicity, and Black Siren; more female lead scenes please! Cammie what happened this week on “Thanatos: The Adventures of Nyssa & Throy” because I had rather watched it instead.
I’ll admit within the season the fight was well done, but I wish John had told him off before now. In relation to this week’s event – https://mobile.twitter.com/lordmesa/status/982325708008534016/photo/1 and https://mobile.twitter.com/lordmesa/status/982287441661865984/photo/1 .
“I am by far more tired of Lance’s stupidity than I am of anything OTA or NTA related.” – I love you Flash!
I’ve decided I want to see Nick be a good cop who tries to arrest them at the end of the season for vigilantism as that would pull together so much and set up Laurel 2.0 screwing with them legally next season and who doesn’t want that? Ha. Sold Cammie – bring on the babysitting scene because it’s not a typical “girls stay back” attitude but a “here’s how you kick butt when your outside” one; could we handle the cuteness of a baby Felicity-Dinah hybrid though? I’m willing to find out! 😀
Another reason not to give John a crossbow is because that’s Huntress’s signature weapon so again you’re just taking from another person and that’s not solving anything again. A rename for John could work, renaming leads to a new suit which is new gear which could help because as you say Flash his stuff now is very military-esque in even us helmet is like night vision googles essentially. He can’t be Deadshot because that name is taken so if you vote rename what might it be and what would his gear include? Guardian would have worked SO much better for him than James on “Supergirl”!
The answer is always YES to Laurel being evil! Have her beat Diaz at the end of the season in some way (personally or helping team Arrow in some way) and let her be the main bad guy/main recurring bad guy for the series! Also yes to her sleeping with whoever she wants because that should not be a male exclusive plot; not all women are into long term romances every time they hook up with someone.
I’m not crazy about John at ARGUS because it’s basically his same situation but a different set so I’d rather not see John and Lyla fighting next. Also ARGUS is her jam so step off John! I could see it as a few episode plot but long run I think John is most useful next to Oliver helping him grow and not fall back into being the jerk he was; yes Felicity helps too but she’s got her hands full keeping them both in check when they fight so everyone is better when they’re together.
“…because why not do that again…I guess.” – LOL Cammie, that delivery was perfect!!!
I personally can’t feel for Oliver because he’s brought this on himself some by 1) accusing Dinah of a crime she didn’t commit (not sure he’s really apologized yet), 2) being a thinks he knows it all (yes he’s the leader and he has experiences but his way isn’t the only good way), 3) he’s EXTREMELY hypocritical, 4) he tells instead of explains why he’s making choices (I know it’d take up screen time to do those moments but they’re more useful than hearing Quentin talk about how he’s saving evil Laurel every week and no one wants it), and 5) he leads as if they’re clones of him when they aren’t and he doesn’t know how to manage people beyond their skills. I’ll give him tactically he knows how to use the group but out of the costumes he is the worst person to talk to in my opinion unless you’re interested in knowing how not to handle a situation personally. I’m fine with that for him too if the show would just embrace it more because they keep acting like he’s the victim and Oliver Queen is no victim to me!
Yeah Renee screwed him some but part of this divide is on Oliver too and how he just expects people to fall in line no matter what. It’s one thing when they come to him (they still have the right to question his choices) but when he seeks them out (Dinah) it’s not going to work. I’ll give the writers Oliver is growing some but his actions 90% of the time scream egomaniac/control freak to me and had this been S1-2 I could get it some as he just returned from the island but this is season 6 and he’s still acting like he’s alone at times even though he’s had a team for years now, you’d think he’d be a bit better than he is at the job. As Cammie said some dialogue parts are lore plot focused than organic to the characters but still I can’t say John was too wrong in all he said and he’s not the first to point out Oliver’s short comings either; I miss you Evelyne.
It feels like they’re outting Mayor Oliver so Oliver can return to being the Arrow but long run I wonder how will that work out for the series because part of superhero drama comes from people not knowing who the hero is; it would certainly be a refreshing take on the genre showing a city knows who the hero is instead just a select few but to make it realistic they’d have to have people coming to Oliver all the time and being angry he’s not helping when they think and that might be more than they really want to do so we’ll see how this goes but it feels like it could get complex fast and not in a good way.
I agree with Scarlet Vixen, John should have spoken up before now. Also agree they could have waited to tell Hill they know she’s dirty.
I agree with Stormy John V Oliver was very “Civil War”, but Marvel did it better with the movie because the fallout and build up felt more realistic instead of as Cammie said plot pushing characters instead of characters moving plot.
I’m fine with the city appreciating Oliver in Green Arrow form because he does deserve points for that, him personally though again I’m not a fan usually; he can be good as an individual at times but more times than not I don’t like Oliver Queen because of how he’s handled things through the series. I realize my choices in situations might not be perfect either but I’d like to think I’d be less egotistical about them.
I’d rate the podcast episode higher than the show episode.
