[sc:astop]Familiar faces and new threats fill this week’s episode of Arrow, as Oliver and the team try to determine who exactly is on their side. Thea finds herself in the middle of the action again, as the past returns to her, and Dragon’s plan to take over the city begins to be revealed, with his infiltration going deeper than the team could have expected.
This spring Arrow will be airing on on Thursdays at 9pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

I know the promo for next week is the end of the episode but I feel it is the most important part, I know I’m bias but much like Oliver and his love of hypocrisy I’m ok with that in this instance, NYSSA!!! NYSSA, NYSSA, NYSSA; I’ve missed you so much, stay for awhile. LEGENDS doesn’t want you sadly so hang out more with us! I regret nothing when it comes to this fangirl moment. Bonus: she’s bringing Myka and HG Bering-Wells’, yeah I said it and don’t regret it either, daughter with her aka Kyra Zagorsky; I am so ready for this episode!
Dragon was better this episode but I’m not sold on him being smarter or more in command than Anatoli could.
I can definitely believe Oliver is trying to say “be better than me” in his speeches but the problem is the way he says it, just tell to do things without explanation, they come off more as hypothetical in my opinion. I get explaining every speech would take time but honestly some episodes have filler moments which could be replaced by an explanation which actually goes to help this seem more logical rather than having an air of hypocrisy to them; just one “this is why I’m saying this” moment could have gone a long way in the quality of the plot.
Zoe is the best part of the Renee plot! I agree, Ricky is doing a good job but he’s just not getting good story stuff.
Evil Laurel can have a life just not Laurel’s. While it would be interesting to see some realistic fallout from “Laurel” showing back up “Arrow” doesn’t have a great history with organic drama so I doubt we’ll see anything come from it; it’ll be a fun moment if they do anything, but I’m not holding my breath. Evil Laurel could create some good chaos if she got Laurel’s ADA job back but again not holding my breath to see that. You talk about Felicity having a leading episode this season Cammie, I want to see Black Siren more in the forefront instead of Dragon; yet another reason to keep her evil – she plays muscle for the guys this season then works everyone in the end to be the one big bad next season! 🙂
I wish Siren would stop saying “my father” about Quentin unless it’s in a sarcastic manner because he’s not her father. YES; SO MUCH YES TO EVERYTHING CAMMIE SAID ABOUT EVIL LAUREL’S POSSIBLE PATH ON THE SHOW!!! Take everything not nailed down and stay evil girl!
I hope Thea leaves with Roy and they get the happy retirement plot because that is a possibility for heroes, if it’s possible they die or are alone in the end it’s also possible they can be happy and that option needs to be represented more so let Thea and Roy just be happy together! Also there is no League like it was because Nyssa destroyed the ring and if the League does still exist to a point then Nyssa should be leading it! I know Sara and Laurel have told her the League doesn’t define her or keep her prisoner like it did but they’re not there anymore so Nyssa needs something. I need to know she’s happy too because LEGENDS won’t show me future old Nyssa happy! I do not apologize for my Nyssa outbursts. I totally agree with Flash on this point; oh Cammie how I wish LEGENDS would do Nyssa and Nyssara but sadly Sara can do everything but talk about her, yeah I’m still bitter Flash. 🙂
Unless David is leaving the show I feel John will back down on being the Arrow in the future.
I’m actually ok with Oliver not being in the field with Dinah because he was honest over how they both don’t trust each other so it’s not just him feeling petty saying she doesn’t trust him or he can’t trust her it’s an agreement they both have issues with each other so it’s probably best they don’t go out this time. We’ve certainly seen instances where two people who don’t get along can work together to take down a common enemy but it was just too fast at this point. I’ll admit in the moment I did say “Shut up Oliver” because who was he to talk about trust to anyone but overall I definitely feel he made the right choice because they’re not in a spot yet where they let the disagreements go and focus solely on the mission at hand; they might get there but again it’s too soon after the split for them to do it successfully.
Agreed Katie Cassidy is killing it as evil Laurel!
The more I think about it the more I’m ok with Dragon and Siren having sex as long as it’s clear it’s Siren choice because of a plan she has and not something she’s being forced into such as being with him to stay alive because he’s upset about the money. Male characters get to have sex with multiple people all the time so why shouldn’t female characters get to do the same? Not all hook ups have to be about potential romances for female characters; if Siren wants to use him for some fun at a point why not but I don’t buy them as a pairing.
Regarding Anatoli, it feels like he’s fallen a long way; Flash makes sense in explaining why he’s stuck around and wants to fight against Oliver, but to me he’s always seemed like this smart guy who if he gets in power he’ll be hard to beat and we kind of saw that with the Brava stuff but even without his force it doesn’t take away the fact Anatoli is smart and someone you at least want to watch. What we’ve seen of him in this plot makes him seem very much like a random lackey named Anatoli versus the guy we’ve seen in seasons pasts so I definitely understand fans’ frustration at his let down moments. While I can buy Dragon out played him I can’t buy Anatoli didn’t see his plan forming, even if he couldn’t figure it out in time to top him he still is in the world enough as well to recognize a power play or someone plotting so you might want to watch them. This just doesn’t feel like the Anatoli most of us love, you can strip his power and put him at the bottom of the totem pole if you want but that doesn’t mean he’s lost his intelligence to get back to the top and sadly that’s what he feels like currently – an Anatoli shell more than the character in a tough spot but still in character so we should worry about him; as is it feels like if Oliver paid him enough he’d just leave so it makes me ask why even have him in this beyond he’s a cool Easter egg in a sense. I’d love to see Anatoli buying his time with Dragon but in the end out smarting him and taking most of his money, the city has to get some back but he gets at least some to go and build a new group and Siren takes some assets to sell and maybe some fighters to come back and be the villain on so everyone gets a little because if this ends with Anatoli right where he started again I’m going to ask what was the point of him and couldn’t his revenge against Oliver have been the focus of another season.
Evil Laurel gives you someone to combat Dinah and screw with Oliver and Quentin and Cayden is his own equal to Felicity so why would he need two mob bosses especially when one is bringing nothing to the table debatably; Dragon said it was part his money to fund Cayden and he provided some men, what is Anatoli’s requirement to be there?
