The good news is that we got an excellent all new episode of Arrow this week! The bad news is that Miss Ice is on assignment so she couldn’t join us on this podcast. However, The Shadow and Podcast Overload do their best to go on in her absence as they discuss Season 4 Episode 12 “Unchained” which originally aired on February 3, 2016.
Miss Ice also handles the creation of these blog posts so this will one will be short and sweet but expect the longer and more awesome blog posts to return with her next week!
Next Week

Shadow’s nicknames for the snowy north will never get old.
Why don’t Nyssa and Oliver just get divorced? I know it’s definitely more business than romance since Oliver loves Felicity and Nyssa loves Sara, but why not end that business agreement? Again I understand Felicity’s rage at him; Oliver stop doing Felicity wrong! Nyssa go guest star on “Legends Of Tomorrow” as Nyssa through the years and make out with your love Sara. I liked the convention story from Shadow.
I did wonder at first if Felicity’s dad was a board member and then I wondered if he was there because he realized who had fought him, but then when they said it’s her dad that was definitely a surprise! I have to say, I think Nyssa would have lost that stand-off with Katana because she was breathing kind of hard, but she did just climb a mountain so she was doing good for the trip. She looked amazing though so the heat just added to her glow. Regarding the show needing the flashbacks, no, it just means no more flashbacks. To the board member guy, you do not yell at Felicity Smoak sir!
If it’s Donna in the grave it could also play a part in Felicity not wanting to get married because Donna is a big pusher for the marriage and not having her there may cause Felicity to hold off on the wedding on top of things with Oliver making her angry; Donna has championed Oliver so without her there to talk to Felicity Felicity may not rush to talk to Oliver like she would before and thus him agreeing to kill her father is a way to in part have her talk to him about something which would be a start. It would show Oliver’s commitment to their relationship, him not easily giving up, which I would love. It’s going to be interesting to see Felicity pre and post the limo scene. I definitely enjoy Felicity and Oliver as a romantic couple and hope we see them together at series end.
It would have been interesting to see how far Oliver went for Thea with the Darhk meeting. Yes to more “Legends Of Tomorrow” recaps. Again I think it’s Donna in the grave. My issues with Calculator taking out the city to hurt Oliver for letting Felicity get hurt in his mind are if he takes out the city it’ll kill Felicity too so what’s the point? And why work with Darhk knowing Darhk’s men shot her unless he’s going to take them down from the inside which could be the case.
I definitely enjoyed the second half of the “Legends Of Tomorrow” pilot more than the first. Good point about a more powerful Savage in the future now Shadow! Regarding Jefferson, I don’t hate him, but I don’t really love him yet either right now; I’m giving his progression a chance but it’s a slow grow. Sara’s definitely got skills that could rival others.
Good job OTA, in this case Original Team Arrow Squad; I look forward to your girl’s return next week, trifecta hosting powers activate.
