Welcome to a special edition of Arrow Squad! Episode 50 is a special one, because we filled it with thoughts and theories from our incredible listening audience. We needed a buffer during the hiatus week between episode 18 and 19, and an outlet to express our feelings over everything that happened in that incredible trailer Podcast Overlord posted on Facebook! (If you were wondering what that sound was, it was the internet blowing up.) That said, this is a very speculative podcast episode where we discuss the trailer, discuss theories, and don’t hold back on what we’ve heard and read about upcoming plot lines. You’ve been warned!
We hear from a great array of listeners on some very key points:
- What is Roy’s fate?
- What will be the nature of the spinoff show?
- Will Oliver accept the mantle of Heir to the Demon? And if so, WHY?!
- When will Laurel/Black Canary get the Canary Cry?!
- What becomes of Akio?
- Where will Oliver’s flashbacks lead next season?
One of the callers, Dustin, brings up Talia Al-Ghul in the course of his feedback and we’d like to know from you all what the significance of her character is in the comics. Post a comment below, or (even better) share your knowledge in our Facebook group!
Podcast Overlord mentioned that there were killer cosplayers at DragonCon last year, sporting excellent Arrow/Canary costumes. Check it out! Hopefully this will be plenty of incentive for you to get your own self down to Atlanta for DragonCon 2015 so that you can meet up with us, and other fans! We are so pumped to say that we are going and cannot wait to see what it has in store for us.
Next week we are recording the podcast on Friday evening, due to the fact that Brian (The Shadow) will be in Las Vegas for New Media Expo. (The winners of the 2015 Podcast Awards will be announced on April 14!) This means that you have an extra 24 hours to get feedback in about episode 19 “Broken Arrow”, so there are no excuses! We want to hear from you. Check out our extremely easy to use Feedback page, or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
