The season finale also serves as a wrap-up point for Oliver Queen’s five year journey on the island/in exile, and we see Oliver of the past prepare to return home from the islands in the flashbacks as Oliver in the present faces new dangers on the same island, as all of his team and the people he loves have joined him on the island. Oliver and everyone either on his team or willing to side with him face off against Prometheus and his team of anyone with a vendetta against Oliver, resulting in the toughest decision yet for Green Arrow – when saving his city turns into saving his family.

Nyssa, Felicity, & Dinah Drake all in one episode – is this Flash’s favorite episode? Bonus: he gets to podcast with Cammie – it’s like all his favorite women in one spot. 🙂
Again why the time change?!
Chase did make a good bad guy overall this season; the only down point with him was the quick change in the scene with Susan when he got outted. There was some great moments in this episode so I get it being hard for Flash to pick.
“What if there’s another Flashpoint?” – NO! This Flashpoint already owes me baby Sara back! Agreed, I’m enjoying the work of the hosts! They so need to get Katrina on “Legends Of Tomorrow” for at least a season! You mean there’s other characters on “Arrow” besides Nyssa, when did this happen? 😉
Injure Nyssa because she was shielding someone else like the awesome hero she is okay, but don’t kill her! I’m with Cammie in that it’s hard to say how Chase’s plan overall worked for me because I don’t feel like I have all the pieces to the puzzle; if he just wanted to be a better father it seems like there are better ways to do that and you certainly didn’t have to blow up the island to make that point so it’s almost like there’s multiple parts to this but we only saw pieces of them. Again Chase was a good bad guy but as far as how his overall plan worked it’s hard to say at this point.
Great points by Cammie about William! You aren’t alone in not caring about the kid Cammie; I think it’s also in part due to the fact we don’t know William enough to like him – maybe he’s a neat character like Kira Manning from “Orphan Black” or maybe he’s an annoying character who only creates issues for the characters we deeply care about like most child characters so I think not only is it hard for some to buy Oliver’s actions but it’s also hard to really attach to William when he’s basically a mystery. Baby John is biologically connected to Diggle but does anyone care as much about him as they do Diggle or even as much as they do Lyla who’s a guest star? As Flash said maybe had William been worked in more it’d be one thing but as is he is down on my list of focused on characters; also that is not an invitation to have William in a season just to get to know him, you can do that in part with off screen stuff and small on screen moments he does not need to become a new cast member!
I was glad Quentin took Siren down, I agree it was very fitting. Ugh Crixus…SO HATED him getting involved with Lucy Lawless’s character because their plot really drug her down at times which was a shame as she was the best character on the series. Manu’s acting was good don’t get me wrong, but I just did not like the character. Malcolm bumping Thea off the grenade was very Malcolm and well done.
I’m going to be HIGHLY disappointed if Dinah has that collar on next, great thoughts on why it’s crap for her. Having it on Siren could make for some good back and forth as well – she says she can’t help them in fights with restricted powers but the team is restricting them because they don’t trust her which is the cycle of how can you ever trust me if you don’t let me prove myself and it’s kind about who makes the first step – does Siren give in either as part of a redemption plot (no – let her be a bad guy) or as a con job on them or does the team remove the collar in trust because they’re the good guy and the good guys take the high road and if they get burned at least they can say they tried because maybe they can save Evelyne even if she won’t ever work with them. Ooh speaking of island injuries – maybe something happens with Felicity and we see the chair back for a bit as Curtis recovers so there’s no one to fix it until he does and even then maybe it takes him a bit due to him having some spasms from his injuries or PTSD; it’d be a great way to see that plot back for a bit also but done longer than the EMP fallout.
Felicity’s reaction to Slade was great! It is a shame the superhero genre doesn’t get more respect from certain award shows as some moments definitely deserve high awards for either writing, acting, or a combination of things; there’s definitely some “Supergirl” moments that have deserved big awards as well during their season. Always up for more female-female scenes especially when they discuss more than just the guys in their lives!
Will Siber Talk be available on iTunes?
I look forward to your season 6 thoughts!
