In episode 04 of Almost Human Podcast we review the third episode of the series, entitled, “Are You Receiving?” We discuss the use of technology in this episode and if it seems like a reasonable depiction of what technology might look like in 2048. We share differing opinions on the cell phones, and both of us found the use of drones, digital face masks, and other effects to be very effective. We also discuss the plot involving the hostages and palladium heist, the tactics used by John, Dorian, and the rest of the police force, how how the hostage group might have given us some important insight on a larger story arc that is developing. We also talk about Dorian’s comments about dying, the humor of the episode, what might be coming down the road to change the relationship between Dorian and John, and the off color comments made by Detective Richard Paul.
