Almost Human episode 13 entitled, “Straw man” aired on March 3, 2014 and here are my initial thoughts on the Almost Human Season 1 Finale. We had several things mentioned during the course of the season, and John’s dad was one of those mysteries. I liked that “Straw Man” not only gave us that back story, but it resolved the story and gave John closure as well.
I thought it was nice to see a softer side of Detective Paul in this episode. We’ve never really seen him treat anyone with much respect so it was refreshing to see him show compassion on the young man who was at the homeless shelter. Of course, it was a convenient plot device that was then used to help Detective Paul break the case, but it was still a nice touch.
I enjoyed how the interviews about Dorian in front of the review board revealed how much respect Dorian has earned from his peers. This is a nice contrast to the way he was jeered by them in the pilot episode. Dorian has been renewed for service, let’s hope the show gets renewed for season 2.
My question this week is, “What did you think of Almost Human season 1?”
