In episode 11 of Almost Human Podcast we give our full review of the 8th episode of Almost Human entitled, “You Are Here.” This episode was originally produced as the 2nd episode of Almost Human and we discuss the various points that seemed out of place because of the shifted placement of the episode. We also discuss whether or not each of those items had a positive or negative impact, and it’s no surprise that our opinions varied on these conclusions. We talk about the various uses of technology in the episode, the use of graphics and music, and whether or not the magic bullet is all that futuristic.
In our feedback segment we also hear some opinions about this order being shown out of order, and how many of us might need to change the way we view the show in order to give it a fair shake.
Here’s the image if the wall that Mark mentions in his feedback. Comment below on whether or not you believe this is the wall, or just a building.

can’t say for certain if it’s a wall, can say for certain half the image is filled with dark buildings.
1) I am going to say that, indeed, is Thee Wall ref’d to in other episodes. An elevated line of linear lights clearly defines the border of a bastion of some sort. Note that the skyline has dark buildings, but that may be a rolling brown-out on the safe side of the wall. I think the two parapets with klieg lights also shouts ‘medium security’ prison. The “entrance” lighting in the lower right seems to grant main access to whatever is beyond. The ‘doormen’ seem uniformed. The alleyway businesses seem more like the ‘bail bonds’ and ‘cheap booze/exotic dancer’ establishments. Perhaps Insyndicate’ is the mayor of crime town, ala ‘Total Recall’ on Mars.
2) A Magic Bullet (artillery shell) already exists. The bogus thing about the episode is that they showed a very low camera angle, not a high trajectory with the round returning to earth near the target. Gravity would have dropped what they showed as it maneuvered between the buidings…. or did the bullet have a mini-jet engine atch’d?
indeed.
(it’s a wall).
